Brian Keiser brings 20 years of experience in higher education, serving as an administrator, instructor, and advisor. He is currently the Associate Director of Guided Pathways Advising at Connecticut State Community College. In addition to his administrative role, he teaches courses in General Psychology, Child Psychology, Adolescent and Emerging Adulthood, and Lifespan Development. Previously, Brian served as the Director of Student Academic Success and General Studies Program Chair at the University of Bridgeport. Before that, he worked in the Dean’s Office at Yale University after relocating to Connecticut. His career in higher education began in 2005 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and he has been dedicated to supporting college students ever since. Brian’s academic focus includes child development from birth to emerging adulthood, the role of parents in development, and cognitive development. He holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and an M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He began pursuing a Ph.D. in partnership with Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital but was unable to complete the program due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
